Elizabeth & Kai, Engagement Shoot - West Kirby Marina, Wirral

21/01/2015

Back in October 2014 I spoke with Elizabeth regarding her wedding to Kai, we hit it off on the phone immediately (Elizabeth was later to say she knew as soon as she spoke to me I was the one for her).

She was the 1st to book the new 'I want it all' package, not wanting to have to pick and choose for her wedding photography, so it was booked & the deposit paid. Her Australian fiance was advised & that was it really lol.

Upon discovering that Kai was Australian I immediately ensured that for the studio photo booth I had Aussie hats, flags, an inflatable kangaroo and several boomerangs and of course a surfboard and what better backdrop for them to choose... the beach!

The day picked for the engagement/pre shoot was about as far away from Australian sunshine as we could get - a very cold, very windy January afternoon - and although the sun shone that was no cancelation when you factored in the wind that was blowing, so with all 3 of us wrapped up like Eskimos we headed to West Kirby Marine lake. Needless to say after 30 minutes there it was decided to head back to their home for hot chocolate & a log burning fire.

The results were some very natural photos for them, which they love, I hate 'posed' images that look fake, and after our pre wedding meeting I am looking forward to not only sharing their wedding day in March, but also the studio booth at their reception.
